You can use a MyCrypNet access as a simple tunnel. It will not be able to communicate with the other accesses in the MyCrypNet network.
Connexion button
To activate an access as a simple tunnel, you can go to “Your apps” page. You cannot use this feature if you are using a delegated access, but your administrator can do it for you.
Select the access and click on the button “Modify or delegate the Access”.
You should see a checkbox called “Disconnect the access”. Check it and “Save”.
Confirmation message
The access will be modified.
Once the progress bar indicates that the configuration is made, the following message appears:
“The access is disconnected”
The access is now a simple tunnel. Its full name will be marked as “Disconnected”.
If your device is lost or stolen, you have to act quickly to avoid anyone accessing your MyCrypNet network.
If your device is particularly exposed to that risks, you should add the two-factor authentication 2FA on it, to reinforce its security.
Revocation button
In case of theft or lost of a device with an active MyCrypNet, you can go to “Your apps” or “Delegated apps” page. As administrator of a delegated access you can still revoke the access.
Select the access you want to cut off and click on the button “Revoke/Regenerate the Access”.
Confirmation message
The access will be modified.
Once the progress bar indicates that the configuration is made, the following message appears:
“The access was regenerated”
The access is now closed on the lost or stolen device.
The new key and certificate will be available for download again. You have to reinstall the new access to use it.
